The DSM Bloggess

So there I am! Living it up in my 30-somethings with a ridiculously hot hubby, 3 seriously outgoing matter-of-fact smart beautiful kids, a cat named Roxii that just won't quit, 2 chihuahuas named Lokii (what was I thinking) and Brodii who don't understand the concept of pee outside.

I'm a strongly opinionated, outspoken, inappropriate and absolutely unapologetic chick going through this thing called life and trying to do it with my sanity intact. So far, this isn't working out so well!

Follow me as I confession myself straight to the LCBO. My rants, my way...you've been warned ;) Xo

So here's the scoop on this whole guest posting.

I am definitely not opposed to doing or having guest posting, however it needs to make sense people!!! I receive countless amounts of email asking if I am interested in having a guest post. In the beginning I was thinking wow, this could be great --- until I looked into it a little more (I was a newb).

What I found was how completely random these emails were. Not to say that all weren't legit, but clearly someone was doing some mass emails asking because having a request from someone posting for a doctor on mens prostate is really not something that I see being a good 'fit' with my blog and atmosphere. Am I wrong? Sure I am concerned and think it's a great cause and you dudes need to keep on top of that, but really? I post about menstrual cramps, sore boobs and have lots of bitchfests about awesome crap that keeps happening in my life. Nowhere in there am I talking about my husbands junk, in all manners, and wanting to educate my readers on mens health. Let's face it, WOMEN are my majority. I want guest posts about accidentally tucking your dress into your nylons at the restaurant, or where the best place to buy things for my children are or "does this cellphone make my ass look big?".

So please, when contacting me about guest posting, either for here or for me to post on yours be considerate. It helps if we have the SAME THINGS IN COMMON. It makes sense if your reader stats are similar to mine. You need to be PROMOTING the posts just as much as I would be doing. It is a two way street. It's not a dine and dash goddamnit.

If you understand the concept behind it, and are serious in wanting to touch base for a little give and take, then please, absolutely contact me. Otherwise? Just stop sending me the damn emails!
