Hey everyone! I know it has been quite a long time since I have posted. Many, MANY things have been going on, both good and bad, and I needed to take a break.
During all this time, probably a year or so, I have managed to put on even more weight than before. I have been so busy helping everyone else out that it in turn has turned me into someone that I do not want to be.
I've dealt with a family member with cancer, family members and close friends passing away, my children growing up what feels like double time, starting a business, essentially quitting one job and starting another that has me second guessing what the fuck I was thinking, some health problems of a family member, and quite frankly the list goes on and on.
Best way to deal with this shit if you were me? Eat. And that I did, whenever I got the chance.
Fast forward to February of 2018 and I'm in essence a complete hot mess. I might look all fine and dandy on the outside, but inside is...well, shit. I hate the way I feel and the way I look. That isn't really anything new, if you actually know me you would know I have struggled with these things forever and ever.
Move forward again, this time until March and I have been looking for a way to stop this cycle. It's disgusting. It's killing me. It has to stop.
I have been researching several different diets and I keep ending up with the same conclusion, that most are quick fix fads. Been there done that. I need something new. Something sustainable. After a few weeks of research and chit chat I have decided that I am going to go the ketogenic way.
Now, if you are one of those haters or "I know best" junkies, then please don't comment and just go away.
But, if you are someone who is going to support my choice and offer up positive vibes and all sorts of goodness then I will say THANK YOU!
I plan to document this journey, complete with food photos and recipes, for all those willing to read and maybe wanting to try it out yourselves. I'm always up for some keto buddies.
