So whoever came up with this brilliant idea that if you run your kids like horses for an entire afternoon that they would drop like bugs on Raid LIED!!!
I spent the better part of the day outside with the kids yesterday (yes first time for everything), and they ran, they played, they swam, they played some more, they climbed, they...well you get the idea. Despite that we brought them in to chill them out for a few before getting them all ready for bed. It seemed like it was going to work and everything.
A friend came over, we drank some Strongbow (highly recommend) and hubby did his prep for UFC 116 (have I mentioned I hate Brock Lesner???) and it was good times...until the 4 yr stuck her head around the kitchen doorway with her 'umm momma...umm can I tell you something?' and I as per usual will say yes then get to bed and she proceeds to not tell me anything just stand there and want to stay. I finally get her upstairs and within 5 minutes you can hear her, her brother AND her sister upstairs laughing, crying, screaming and thumping around...FOR 2 HOURS!!!! Oy vey!
So now I sit here at the comp, thinking hey it's sunday, hubby is home, this is a good day for me to get some work done -- and I have no desire to do anything at the moment, it's disgusting.
I feel a trip to the grocery store is most likely in order. When in doubt, eat watermelon!!! :)
