So there I am! Living it up in my 30-somethings with a ridiculously hot hubby, 3 seriously outgoing matter-of-fact smart beautiful kids, a cat named Roxii that just won't quit, 2 chihuahuas named Lokii (what was I thinking) and Brodii who don't understand the concept of pee outside.

I'm a strongly opinionated, outspoken, inappropriate and absolutely unapologetic chick going through this thing called life and trying to do it with my sanity intact. So far, this isn't working out so well!

Follow me as I confession myself straight to the LCBO. My rants, my way...you've been warned ;) Xo

Real men paint pink!

So after I'm pulling out all my hair yesterday, one of my sisters (I have 3) calls and says she will take my kids...FOR THE NIGHT?!?! "All 3? Seriously? What's wrong?" was my response to her. The condition was I had to do something with hubby, well, something productive with him. Sooo roll in my brilliant idea to paint the girls' bedroom again. Again because it was previously J's room up until recently and the walls were painted 2 shades of blue.

Can someone please explain to me WHY I came up with this brilliant plan in the first place for the only day off that hubby has this week (and only because it's a country wide holiday)??? I started alone at 7.30/8pm ish and he got home around 9.30 and we painted...and we painted...and we painted and suddenly I check the clock and it's 4am!!! I told him to just leave it all and we'd just go to bed as I had to pick the kids up at 11am.

Not only did I not fall asleep until at least 5, but I was woken up at 10am by my sister to 'remind me' that I had to get the kids at 11. Sooooo I'm up 58 minutes before I need to be, and thus I walk back into the girls room to check it out again and realise that the brown looks like sh*t and another coat of the brown primer needs to just go over it again and call it a day.

I leave to get the kids, bring them home, the girls go upstairs to look and proceed to tell us how beautiful it is (despite all the furniture in the middle of the room and paint all over the floor etc, yup we are the extreme professional ;) , and hubby got crazy and decided to repaint the trim too. So while the trim dried we checked out the pink and brown and upon being satisfied I gave the trim another coat while my hubby did his awesomeness in the bathroom...I mean PAINT guys!? Geez.

What I didn't mention is that hubby replaced the current bathroom shower curtains from the Dora and thought the "zebra print" would be wicked. So to complete the bathroom ensemble, we now have a hot bubblegum pink bathroom with a zebra print shower curtain.

That's right ladies, real men paint pink!!!
